ConcertsAcoustic Routes hosts one or two concerts each month. These are held at MEOW, 9 Edward Street (unless otherwise advertised). Each concert features an invited guest performer as the main act, with one or two acts to open the show. The concerts feature a mix of local club members and visiting performers. Drinks, coffee, snacks and meals are available at the bar.Blackboard concertsOn the first Friday of each month we host a blackboard concert at Mojo Invincible, 161 Willis Street, from 7.00-10.00pm. This is an opportunity to sing one two songs (10 minutes max per act) to a friendly listening group of like-minded people. It's a great way to try out your latest number without having to prepare for a full performance set. Entry is free (koha accepted). Just turn up and give your name to the compere to get a slot. Or, just show up anyway for a fun evening. Singarounds
Singarounds are held on the second Sunday of each month, from 7.30 to 10.00pm. They are hosted at a member's house. Singarounds provide a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where everyone gets a chance to perform. New performers are very welcome. Other eventsOnce a year we have a musical getaway at Riverslea Lodge, Te Horo, and we occasionally host other concerts or dances. Details of these events will be posted in The Balladeer.
